Halloween may be behind us on the calendar, but not for those whom are true fans and participants of the controversial subgenre Black Metal. A style of music that went beyond the reaches of ears and in the hearts of tormented souls sparking killings, church burnings, mutilations and hate crimes among Northern Europe in its origins. Much of the beginnings of Black Metal is seemly unsavory to anyone with a moral compass, however I find myself drawn in curiously the same way some are drawn into the study of the psychotic serial killers. A similar study, just add blast beats and unintelligible speed metal riffs. Now that BM has aged and spread its trashing lo-fi terror across the globe, enthusiasts can seek out the genre with out feeling nauseous to their moral core. Black Metal has transformed much since its beginnings in Norway, all the while its been influential in the Metal community abroad.

The next two weeks I am going to explore some of those key musicians and lesser knowns both past and present of Black Metal in this series "None More Black".
