In 2001, Dr. Steven Coward founded Asheville Natural Health and Homeopathy, where he specializes in the treatment of complex and chronic diseases.  After leaving a financial career in the medical insurance industry, Dr. Coward earned a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona.  He is  licensed in the state of Vermont, as North Carolina does not currently license naturopaths.

Dr. Coward’s  passion for homeopathy began during his naturopathic medical training as he saw patients improve with homeopathy who had not responded to any other therapy.  He’s devoted himself to studying and perfecting the practice of homeopathy, and he has studied with some of the most prominent homeopaths in North America. Dr. Coward is past President and Secretary of the North Carolina Association of Naturopathic Physicians, an organization that promotes the passage of a state law requiring licensing of naturopathic physicians.  He is also a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the National Center for Homeopathy.
