Ingrown Records

11pm-Midnight EST

On tonight's program, we're proud to feature an Asheville-based net/tape label, Ingrown. Ingrown label founder/owner, Ryan Watson will be co-hosting the program with Matt Barlow, and the two will be spinning music from various Ingrown artists.

Ingrown is a DIY experimental record label / artist collective based in the countryside of nowhere and the streets of Asheville, North Carolina. The label focuses on releases in the experimental, noise, ambient, idm, and avant-garde genres.

Don't miss the 2nd Annual Ingrown Fest next weekend, May 3-5! The festival will be two days of experimental music of various types from North Carolina and beyond. Extremely cheap and all under one roof in beautiful downtown Asheville. Come get weird with Ingrown as they celebrate their third year of blowing brains!

Also, be sure to check out the exclusive and eccentric Ingrown Fest Compilation 2013 - sure to transport you to lands of bliss and balderdash! The album is stacked with original music from local artists right here in Asheville.

On tonight's program, we spotlight Boston experimental electronic outfit, Triode. The trio features Peter Gumaskas, Stephen Bonner, and Jesse Cousineau performing on home-made modular synthesizers, organs, and other electronic devices. All Triode music is purely improvisational, and all releases are recorded live in the studio with minimal to no overdubs or edits.

Happy Easter everyone! We have a special basket of audio goodness for you on tonight's episode! Our featured artist is Lost Trail (Burlington, NC), the ambient/drone/noise/shoegaze project of husband and wife duo Zachary Corsa and Denny Corsa. Utilizing lo-fi and obsolete recording technology, they aim to capture a sense of atmosphere and landscape in both man-made and natural, wild environments.

Zach & Denny have recorded an exclusive performance just for tonight's program, so be sure to tune in!
