Sharon LaMotte

Sharon has been part of the Asheville Community since 1984. For the last ten years she was President of the non-profit Jazz Composers Forum who's purpose is to present and document original instrumental music. She is a passionate jazz singer and her love of the music is what drives her. Today , she keeps busy producing listening room concerts and workshops . She hosts a jazz vocal session weekly at Tressa's and plays with her band every Friday in downtown Asheville. Her mentors and teachers are the wonderful Jay Clayton and Sheila Jordan . She has a great love for singers, saxes and strings and with a bit of Italian flair will mix a variety of this and that to make a fabulous dish of whats fresh and available whether from the great masters or from the current scene.
