Bio: 

I love cooking things that brings back happy memories, and foods from places I’ve traveled. I also enjoy taking classic dishes and give them a saucy makeover.
“All Things In Moderation” is my mantra. I care greatly about health, but also believe that life is short and we should enjoy the little pleasures, guilt free. That would make my secondary motto, “Will work(out) for food.”
In the RECIPE BOX you will find a mix of health-conscious dishes, global fare, and good ol’ American comfort food!
For several years I taught a cooking class called Confidence In The Kitchen in Asheville, North Carolina. The class focused on helping individuals get healthful, delicious meals on the table several nights a week, and to be at home in their kitchens.
My goal was to provide easy-to-prepare recipes (with a little FLAIR) and to teach the students to trust their instincts. We also shared a bucket of laughs and devoured uncountable meals, with a side of smiles and new-found understanding. Although the class has taken a sabbatical, the spirit of “Confidence In The Kitchen” lives on.
A Spicy Perspective is an extension of our class, and a puree of my personal and kitchen journals. Here I share tried-and-true recipes, cooking tips, and lots of SPICY thoughts!
I hope this site brings you a smile and lends a little extra confidence to your kitchen.
