TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) began in 1984 as a small annual conference in California sponsored by people who passionately believe in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the world. We got a couple hookers over at the trailer and we're grilling some cheese dogs over the god damn trash barrel. Gary is slamming some homemade wine and I'm drinking vodka with Diet Mountain Thunder. I'll probably get arrested later, but I don't give a damn.

Tune in tomorrow morning for the final broadcast of The 'Stache. In true wild west fashion we'll go down in one way or another, and I don't mean that in a gay way.

September 15th is the First Anniversary of Ashevillefm. For the next couple of weeks I'll be selecting, the Top 50 artists for the shows first year. Rodney Crowell and Jeff Bridges will loom strong.

I was sad to hear of Michael Been of The Call passing away on the 19th. Maybe you remember "And the walls came down" from the album Modern Romans. Michael played bass, sang and wrote most of the material for The Call. The recorded legacy lives on!
