We open with a classic A-bomb ad from back in the day ("Duck, and cover!"). We pay tribute to Mr. Leonard Nimoy, discuss a watch that charges your phone while you, er, pleasure yourself; Ang, Savage, Larry & I put Matt in the corner; somehow Angie-lo falls temporarily under a hypnotic trance-like spell of sultry, wrinkled seduction cast by the one and only Savage Neal, and we hear from the Russian espousing the latest updates on the career of shameless television it-boy Brian Williams, from the world's most reliable news, Weekly World News.

My brother-in-law recently wrote in an email that these days his only source for new music is Spotify, suggesting that he should be ashamed. I don't think there's any shame in using Spotify for new music. It's an excellent resource. I typically use it to explore older music, as I have more than enough new music coming my way via AFM Music Department emails, but I know not everyone is so blessed. How can you not enjoy a website that puts such a ridiculous amount of good music right at your fingertips, 24/7?

A few days ago I was with one of my best friends and favorite people of all time, Anthony. We were in his wife's brand new car -- a Dodge SUV of some sort -- and I was shocked to discover that it had no CD player. "Bluetooth," he said, and went on to inform me, yet again, that my "Songs for Friends" mixes are the only CDs he owns anymore. We were on our way to a show at the Mothlight. At my request we stopped by the AFM headquarters so I could drop off the three albums I'd just reviewed.
