AshevilleFM at TEDx Asheville
TED (Technology, Entertainment & Design) began in 1984 as a small annual conference in California sponsored by people who passionately believe in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the world. Since then, it has developed into a clearinghouse spreading “ideas worth spreading” from the world’s most inspired thinkers.
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At the second TEDxAsheville, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine with the intention to spark deep discussion and connection. Tickets have run out for TEDx Asheville, but you don't need to miss out on it. AshevilleFM be streaming the audio as soon as the event begins at 5:00pm Sunday, August 28. Just choose your speed -- hi-fi stream or lo-fi stream --and fill your head to brimming with some of the most provocative thinking percolating in WNC!

Our almost-new, slightly scuffed newsletter!
Pow! We got us a newsletter! The first installment went out this past April, and the next one is just about ripe for deployment. Written by Matthew Shiver, it's full of tasty tidbits you won't find anywhere else.
Follow this link to get a big ol' eyeful of our email-based periodic gibberish!
Help us build Studio B
Asheville FM needs your help to raise funding for general operations, as well as to create Studio B. Having a second production studio at the station will allow us to broadcast live, in-studio music, and will also provide a much needed production space for our shows that require pre-produced audio. Additional funds raised will help the station pay ongoing expenses and acquire additional equipment.
