Blueshound, Host of Soul of the Blues

Or....let the blues sneak up on you by tuning in Soul of the Blues this Friday from 7-9pm on ashevillefm.org. The Blueshound will be layin' some mind slithering, butt withering blues on ya! You'll get to hear the brand new solo debut album by the lead singer for the Derek Trucks Band, Mike Mattison-"You Can't Fight Love". The brother of country artist Lee Roy Parnell is Rob Roy Parnell and his specialty is Texas style blues as you will find out after hearing his 2008 cd-"Let's Start Something". I'll also be spinning tracks from Buddy Guy's 2012 live release from his Chicago club-"Live at Legends". Michael Burks was noted for his 3+ hour live gigs and you'll see why folks couldn't get enough of this bluesman with his 2008 offering-"Iron Man". I'm still grieving over the recent loss of Johnny Winter, so I thought it fitting to pay tribute by playing his first charting album from 1969-"Progressive Blues Experiment". For the Notcho' Blues Artist I'll be playing concert classics from that '70s southern rock band, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Join the Blueshound on Soul of the Blues and you just might sneak up on some blues!
