Whassup, all you FOB's? (that's Friends of the Blues) It's time to get down with some blues tonight from 6-8pm on ashevillefm.org and "Soul of the Blues". The Blueshound will be bringing it with two hours of mind smelting, butt melting blues! We'll be bluzin' it old school with tracks from Bonnie Raitt's first album in 1971, some bawdy blues recorded in the mid 50's, live cuts from a Big Bill Broonzy concert in 1953 and some early Etta James. You'll hear a new release from guitar heros Joe Louis Walker and Otis Grand called "Guitar Brothers" and the Notcho' Blues Artist will be zydeco master C.J. Chenier in honor of Mardi Gras next week. Get ready to catch some beads ladies and join the Blueshound tonight for some percolatin' and celebratin'! Oh, Yeah!

We got blues! Tune in tonight for "Soul of the Blues" on ashevillefm.org from 6-8pm and the Blueshound will bring you two hours of mind stalling, butt squalling blues! I'll be paying tribute to the great Etta James who left this world on Jan. 20 by playing tracks from her new release "The Dreamer". I'll be playin' tracks from one of my favorite live Eric Clapton albums "E.C. Was Here". Also on tap are tracks from 3 talented blues women- Sue Foley, Deborah Cole and Roxanne Potvin off their new release "Time Bomb". You'll enjoy hearing powerhouse singer Tracy Nelson on her classic cd "In The Here And Now" along with primo Allegator Records tracks from Texas guitar slinger Johnny Winter. The Notcho' Blues segment will again feature a blast from the past with hits from the 60's. Join the Blueshound as we shake it on down and might even lose our undies in the process! LOL

It's Saturday night and time to boogie! Tune into "Soul of the Blues" tonight from 6-8pm on ashevillefm.org and the Blueshound will bring you 2 hours of mind wooing, butt cooing blues! On tap tonight are songs from a Bonnie Raitt collection mainly from her earlier albums in the 70's and 80's. I'll play tracks from Duke Robillard's latest release "Low Down and Tore Up", piano boogie woogie queen Katie Webster's "No Foolin'", a recent release by Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart-"Don't Explain" and Buddy Guy's "Damn Right, I've Got the Blues". The Notcho' Blues segment tonight will feature some hits from 1967. We be bluesin'!
