Stuck in Overdrive

Genre:
Freeform

Rummaging through dusted tumbleweeds and the "burnt American musical detritus," surfaces relics of the forlorn and forbidden. An intimate array of pre-war gospel, sludge to drudge, ethereal kaleidoscopes, world music from the other-worldly and then some. Tune in on those Sunday afternoons while you're tooling in your machine shop, burning down one, watching a silent film.

Today, on a very special installment of Stuck in Overdrive, our guest co-DJ Sijal Nasralla will be picking out some fine new Middle Eastern music. Sijal has been traveling in Jordan and Turkey for the past year and is bringing in some gems from his journey to share with us. There will also be some live renditions from Sijal himself of these songs. Don't miss this, it will blow your gourd!
