The Living Asheville Arts Festival (LAAF) happens Sunday, September 2nd, from 11am to 9pm on Lexington Avenue in Downtown Asheville. This free-to-attend, interactive, and art-filled event has a 20 year history of keeping it weird, green, and fun for the entire family! Great local music, vendors, flow arts, children’s area, interactive arts, performances and, of course, Asheville’s signature craft brews combine to make LAAF the perfect late summer blowout!
This year, the Asheville FM Music Lounge will be held at Sky People Tattoo, 32 North Lexington Ave for the duration of the festival. The Lounge will feature music curated by St Cyprian, host of AFM’s “The Unquiet Meadow,” along with Ernesto Yermoli, of “Something Else,” and Donovan Quixote of “By All Means Necessary” (BAMN). The AFM Lounge is an excellent opportunity to meet AFM DJ’s, enjoy refreshments, and get some much needed shade! Become an AFM member and get some awesome gear (t-shirts, bumper stickers)! Additionally, Sky People will be running specials on tattoos from top Asheville artists, as well as piercings, tarot readings, and a fun photo booth.
