William Price is most well known for his compositions for wind instruments. His new album though, “Rush Hour” is an abrupt turn into the realm of Electro-acoustic music. He resides in Birmingham, AL where Dr. Price serves as Associate Professor of Music and Coordinator of Music Theory and Composition at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). His compositions have been performed in various parts of the world including London, Portugal, France and Singapore. We will talk about his current musical output, the switch to Electro-acoustic music as well as living in Birmingham as an experimental music composer. We’ll also talk about whatever comes to mind.
